The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) allows certain voters who are active-duty military or their families as well as U.S. citizens abroad special rights that provide an expedited means to register and vote by mail-in ballot. The request must be signed before submitting it to the Mitchell County Board of Elections. The deadline for individuals eligible under UOCAVA to register to vote and/or request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on the day before Election Day.

Your MCDP officers and Executive Committee look forward to seeing you at the polls for early voting now through November 2, or on Election Day on November 5, 2024!
